Pipeline Steering Trailers
Located in Whitehorse, Yukon territory, the job; carry 600,000 loads of 40′ pipe to Quill Creek. The trailer design reduced this potential traffic to 300,000 loads by pulling 80′ lengths of pipe. The conditions: -40 below zero, ice roads, the trucking company required by antiquated regulation to use short wheelbase CO tractors and the need to have confidence the trailer was stable and safe at speed, 100k in ice and snow and to maintain this speed in the mountains, this was achieved.
